What is the biggest investment you will ever make in your life?
Your Health.
I caught up with Francisco Romaldo Mendes after a long time and we ended up discussing a wide multitude of topics for hours.
The most interesting one being - Looking at Health as your biggest investment.
So how do you define an Investment?
An asset that pays you back returns.
It is not a new fact that obesity and cardiovascular diseases are on the rise worldwide.
As healthcare costs keep escalating everywhere coupled with reducing affordability, the importance of taking care of your health has never been so paramount.
There was a study conducted in the US whereby employees of an organization were paid to work out.
The results? The group that engaged in the activity voluntarily was more productive and got better raises.
Another study calculated the actual monetary impact of exercising regularly.
You see, the more you engage in working out, the better chances you have of avoiding doctor visits, medical bills, procedure costs, emergency risks etc. - all of this keeps your financial savings intact.
On the plus side, you improve your life expectancy and end up increasing the lifetime value of the biggest cash flow generating asset - You.
